| For many years Babcock & Wilcox
Vølund have developed and built complete CHP plants for utilization
of biofuels. Our experience covers a wide spectrum of biofuels, such as
e.g. wood chips, straw, bark, bagasse, etc.
Through the years we have continuously
developed our range of boiler, grate and firing systems - systems which
enable us to solve and fulfil our clients’ needs and expectations regarding
CHP plants with optimum energy utilization and reliability under maximum
consideration of the environment.
As an alternative to small CHP plants
based on steam, Babcock & Wilcox Vølund have in the course of
the recent years developed a back-current gasifier. A 4 MW gasification
plant for wood chips has already been in commercial operation for more
than 3 years and will now be extended to include 2 motors and generators.
